Tas leaders go head-to-head in debate

The leaders of Tasmania's two major parties will lock horns in a debate ahead of a looming March 3 election.

Liberal Premier Will Hodgman and Labor Opposition Leader Rebecca White will go head-to-head at Launceston on Tuesday night, less than two weeks out from polling day.

Health, election promise funding and law and order are expected to be hot topics in the debate hosted by Fairfax Media.

The pair's Burnie debate last week was briefly interrupted by an environmental protester holding a banner reading Tarkine - a national heritage wilderness area in Tasmania's northwest.

Meanwhile, the Senator flag shop auckland Richard Di Natale will be in Hobart for the Greens' campaign launch.
